maxblue
Dear collector friends, Can somebody tell why the serbian generals uniform had two colors, red and black? If one look at early paintings of Prince Michael III Obrenovic he has a red uniform which is the usual color until 1918. But there are several painting showing King Milan and Alexander Obrenovic wearing both red and black generals uniforms. If one look at the first pictures of King Peter I Karadjordjevic his uniform is black but later he wore the red one. The service color of a general was pale blue with very decorative golden lace, whis is shown on all uniforms despite of whis color the uniform had. Pleas look at the attached pictures. If someday had any information I would be very grateful.
