81 RIR and 88 RIR Histories?

Hi,

i am looking for details on the above regiments for the day of the 22nd August 1914, with maps if possible. Does anyone happen to have them?

I don't have any of the regimental histories. According to my knowledge, there isn't a history for the RIR 88 anyway.

Both units were in the 21st Reserve Division at the time, fighting around Neufchâteau.

Did you check the Reichsarchiv book? There are some nice overview maps in there for that period which may give more information, depending on what you're exactly looking for.
