Heer Question on stanrdard army buckle

A friend of mine and newer member here is thinking of purchasing an army buckle... I don't have any pics yet but he wants to know if the marking KA40 is a good one.

Will add photos if and when he can get some but in the meantime does anyone know if this is a good maker? Any info would be deeply appreciated!

Greetings ..........the buckle Dan is referring to is supposed to be a Wehrmacht buckle, but I don't know much about these items, and am not having too much luck on the internet finding out anything...... Again, any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.......I am a new member, and not having much luck posting anything as yet, but hope to be able to soon.....with highest regards.....bill

A quick bit of info. The word wehrmacht is actually misused quite often. Folks think it means the German army. Actually Heer is the German Army as Luftwaffe is the Air Force and Kriegsmarine is the Navy. Waffen SS is the Armed SS. Wehrmacht is the armed forces which would cover all of them. Although the Waffen SS was like the army of the party... and not the regular armed forces of the Reich.

Again keep up what you're doing in posting and such. It may take some time at times but folks here are very helpful and will pop in as they have time and answers to questions.
