I've become a real fan of old military history photos and have been picking up a couple of old Wire Press photos on ebay. They're not the "original" photos as such but are fascinating nonetheless. Most of them have interesting captions on the reverse that were made at the time the original photos were transmitted.

Most of them have interesting captions on the reverse that were made at the time the original photos were transmitted.

Wire Photos are very beautiful, I have seen many that were sent to the west during the 1980’s Iraq Iran War Era of Saddam Hussein.

Most of them range from $5-$10 on the web; I do have a few in my collection.
