Tunic of reconnaissance corps officer

Hi, I have acquired this tunic from a friend. Unfortunately the pips had been removed (inexplicable to me why or when) and cannot be found with other of the gentlemans effects.

Could anybody please help in identifying the type of pips required to restore this tunic (with pics if possible) and if possible identify the medal ribbons?

I only know that the officer was a Major Reginald Brown. It would be very interesting to me if research was a possibility howver that is probably unlikely.

Hello Vaughan......

There are no missing pips...... He would have had 3 for a Captain which have been removed and when promoted to Major just one Crown......

The ribbons:

Africa Star with 8th Army Bar

Italy Star

Defence of Britian Medal

1939 - 1945 War Medal
