Paul R Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Here is a great book that I won on Ebay a while back. It is for a member of the Coast Guard Women's Reserve (SPAR) during WW2. This book is really great in that it is signed by her shipmates whom she went through bootcamp with. This is the book issued to personnel when the enter boot camp with the Coast Guard. I think that the Navy and the Coast Guard shared the same Blue Jacket Manual during WW2.

Paul R Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Here are some of the inscriptions made by her shipmates. These signatures usually were entered into the books by fellow training company recruits upon graduation from bootcamp. When I went through, we did the same sort of thing on our Sea-Bags.
