China Mystery Chinese Order for Soviet Military Pilot

Please welcome captain Lapshov Fedor Vasilievich.

In 1943 he was air squadron navigator (860 bombing regiment).

What a nice decoration he has on his chest

And hear we have “Наградной лист” (nomination for an award) for Order of Combat Red Banner.

In section “Previous decorations” the star on his chest described as

“Chinese order – Six-point Star 1^st class in 1942".

Obviously our hero was an adviser/specialist in China.

Somewhere in the middle (or earlier) of 1943 he was transferred back to Russia.

Well, what about this mysterious six-point star?

What is it?

Any ideas?
