erikscollectables Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I found this namecard in Hungary in a group of Austro-Hungarian namecards that belonged to a Hungarian officer in WW1 As far as I know the title, rank and location correspond with Walther von Brauchitsch in WW1 The only thing that makes me doubt it is indeed him is the aD.... Would like to hear your opinions. Best regards, Erik
Glenn J Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Erik, Walther von Brauchitsch was not a Baron nor for that matter was any officer of the von Brauchitsch family going back at least until 1870 as far as I can see, And of course, he was never an Hauptmann a.D. Regards Glenn
erikscollectables Posted June 16, 2012 Author Posted June 16, 2012 Ah, would have been nice Thanks for the help!
piekenier Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Erik, There were a number of Von Brauchitsch in WWI . Two were Hptm AD in the rank lists .One in Grenadier regt. Koenig Wilhelm 1 and the other in 2. Garde -Regt zu Fuss Berlin.
