And you're right, it IS unusual to have a Vietnamese award, issued by France (yellow / green ribbons; the ones issued by the Emperor of Annam were on yellow / red ribbons), made in Holland! Protectorate ... I really like to see these yellow/red or (for that matter) white/red ribbon specimens awarded by the Emperor I wonder how often this order was awarded on "national" ribbon .... I believe my Commander Dragon of Annam is of the same make. For a while it confused me in that I was not able to find similar French made Dragon of Annam medals similar in style to mine, but now I have the answer, it is of Dutch manufacture.
