I didn't think many people had miniatures made these days given Orders in general are not widely worn today. So this would be a rare find

Probably more as a commemorative for the medal-winner, a bit of a prestige item. Anyone who gets a medal can order an official miniature (like the one shown) from the Mint at their own expense. This expense is quite high...
