Robin Lumsden Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Distasteful as the subject matter may be, every time they print stories like this the values just go up and up. http://www.express.c...-in-Nazi-relics
2dresq Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Really sad. I for one refuse to purchase any dogtag that has been split; for fear that it was taken from a grave site. This is a fine line as many of us collectors agree, it is immoral to dig up in graves items like this. However, I remember that there were dives on the Tirpitz and some desirable HSF badges were obtained as well as pieces of teak wood which served to be a lovely backing. I don't own one of these pieces, however, I would be tempted to purchase if given the opportunity; even knowing that this "war grave" was disturbed. Regards, JustinG
