Mervyn Mitton
I had a small collection of model vehicles brought-in last week. I don't usually have toys of any kind - however, these all seem to be in good condition and Christmas should find a buyer. I suspect that they were a specialist collection as there are 8 different types of busses. This could make some interesting posts for this Forum - apart from vehicles, there are many other types of toys - all of which could make good threads. Have a go............... http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_11_2012/post-6209-0-55135900-1352903626.jpgclick

Mervyn Mitton
Ed - these are brilliant. Some close-ups would be good - and if you have more keep going. I thought the earlly ones were interesting. Mervyn

Stuka f
Just got these in. Sadly not in its original box, but the box they are in seems a time piece made especially to hold the boy's "treasure"! Part of the wirschafstwunder, made by Schuko in US zone........and sold by a notorious toy shop in Brussels and Antwerp, I remember my grandfather who hated it when it came from that shop, ....because the guy collaborated during the war. ....according to him... ;-)
Mervyn Mitton
Do I detect an early VW minibus being used as a fire engine ? Nice to see a new addition to this particular forum subject. Mervyn
Stuka f
That particular fire engine is a quiet rare model from that collection. I must say those cars have a kind of fantasy look, not really copy's of any existing type. .|<ris

Philip.S
I usually prefer to buy newer models, as they have more detail, and that's usually what I'm after, but I seem to have quite a few of these older ones lurking about! Some Matchbox Superfast "cars" (I put it in ".." as I don't know if one can classify a "Tractor Shovel" as a car) and some older "Siku" models, of slightly better quality.
