Motorhead Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 This one I shot last week at Ebay....a beautyful 4th class REO with case and outer cardbox-I couldn't resist. And the best thing-the case is an older one with the hook! So finally my 3rd model found a home.....Micha
Motorhead Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 The REO with an extra piece of ribbon in original length-It is is stamped "R" between the crossarms.
Motorhead Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 The case.....I didn't see this at the auction pics!
Motorhead Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Well,I wasn't shure what to do....so now my 3rd model has found a new home(but I'm shure that this is the original case the REO came with...).Micha
Stogieman Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Always possible the Jeweler simply used up an older style case as it definately pre-dates the order itself. Very nice grab!
Guest Rick Research Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 VERY interesting that the neurotic recipient scribbled explicit directions on the return of the award after his death ("...and notify the police..."-- NO, not of his "I must have been murdereed" death, sillies, of the return of the Order! ) AND noted that per regulations the award document could be retained"... but I have no such document."
