    near home in Brest, i have these two guns from 1812...any possibility to find the ship they were on, the place they where made?

    It has King George III's monogram on the barrel so it is the correct time period. From what I have found out the 27 - 3 - 12 are not dates but weight indicators.

    The 27 equals 27 hundred weight or 3024 lbs, the second number indicates "quarter hundred wieghts" or in this case 3/4 which is 84 lbs and the last number is 12 lbs. So upon manufacture this barrel weight 3120 lbs.

    As to manufacture, short of a makers mark it would be hard to tell. Here is a link to British barrel history
