Type iii navy KIA PH

Received this via a trade and did not research it until now ! thought he would be a Destroyer guy or something like that !!

But turns out to be a Submarine KIA from the USS Tang !!!!!!

Enlisted 4-23-1943 sent to sub school then on 8-22-44 sent to Submarine base 128 (pearl Harbor) 8-22-1944 to 9-18-1944 served on USS Plunger SS-179

Then transferred to the USS Tang SS-306 and on 10-24-1944 on the 5th war patrol for the Tang she was lost and 78 men lost ! this was a MOH patrol for the ships skipper who survived the sinking but spent rest of war as a POW
