Mervyn Mitton Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Greg - always nice to see pieces from personal collections. For those members not into Commando daggers please flesh out the post with details of the different patterns. Mervyn

All the daggers are very common none of them have any etchings or interesting features. The top 2 daggers are both marked /i B2. The 3rd knife is a /i England marked piece while the last one is a Indian issue piece marked /i "I" and is also marked England. The Kukri is a ww1 issued piece marked /i 1914. Mervyn Mitton Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Thanks Greg. Some very dedicated collectors like to have these details. I hope you are getting ready for the Photo Comp. - should be starting in Oct. ? Mervyn
peter monahan Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) I thought the kukri was WWI - the very small handles and slightyly thinner blades on the issue ones from that period are fairly recognizable. Edited August 19, 2013 by peter monahan
