Ulsterman
the DRK medal? Yup, but it's black and white though and not as clear as your photograph. Odds are he's on the Saxe-whatchamacallit House Order civil merit list somewhere....
E Williams
That would be nice. The medal on the Ebay.de site is the same medal on the second rack I posted, same wording. Mine has abbreviation for Rote Kreuz. Also the second rack does not have the Hindy award.
Ulsterman
Yup, I noticed. I was wondering if it was a Variation or because of a different association.

I was wondering if it was a Variation or because of a different association.Another mystery I'd love to know why. I was told a possible different maker and Chip also said it might be for a different reason. Edited December 6, 2013 by E Williams
E Williams
Greetings!!!! Today I received this rack. I have posted closer photos of the DRK medal hopefully to better translate the inscription. The back is marked Weimer. I've still not been able to put a date on this award. I have found where it's been dated as an 1915 award. This is what I would like to have confirmed in writing. Thanks all...............http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_12_2013/post-16240-0-60519800-1386691715.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_12_2013/post-16240-0-66808500-1386691794.jpg
spolei
Hello, that was a award for helpful work, given to members of the redcross. The founder of this award was the redcross-association of Thüringen (Thüringer Landesmännerverein v. Roten Kreuz) I don't know the time it was awarded, but the font looks like early 20th century.
