Explorer Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Did anyone ever see anything like it? Must be a quite rare piece of paper! 8 pages of items with prices in 3 quality standards.
Trooper_D Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Explorer What a wonderful document. Is it yours and, if so, where did you get it? Furthermore, can you post more pages, please What I found particularly interesting was that, based on this catalogue, it appears the uniform regulations were sufficiently flexible that one could buy a kepi/tschako in a variety of styles, according to taste - and mine will be a no.7 - Kavallerie-façon Edited January 5, 2014 by Trooper_D

Thank you for the compliments. It is mine. I came across it when I bought a huge collection of old books - 3000 titles or so. There was plenty of early 20th century price catalogs of various firms included. Unfortunately this was the only one regarding military. Do you have any idea for how much something like this would go? I am willing to sell it. It's a wonderful document someone else would appreciate more than me - I do not collect ww1. I know ww2 Solingen (for example) catalogs are quite rare and wanted but I've never seen one from such an early period. I also do not find anything simmilar on the internet. Thank you for the info!

I'm afraid, Explorer, that I don't have the experience to be able to value your catalogue but I am sure that there is a market for it as it contains fascinating and, perhaps, unique details about Austro-Hungarian uniforms. If you put it on eBay for a nominal amount, maybe it will find its correct value? I don't know. If you decide not to sell it, you would be doing the collecting community a great service if you were to scan and post it to the Document Archive on this site. Whatever you decide to do, good luck with your decision and thank you again for showing it.
