    Hi gents

    I need any lights before to purchase this ww2 italian submarine badge,is this one original from ww2 period and wich would be a good price for it?????????

    This is seller description:

    Italian Submarine Crew Qualification Badge. Circular rating's badge, of thin brass which has been silvered - most of which rubbed off front, some remaining on reverse. A dolphin within a voided circlet - around which "SOMMERGIBILI". The reverse has had a brooch-pin fitting, this replaced with two lugs, one of which remaining. In good condition - a rare original World War Two badge. Diameter: 47mm.

    All versions I have seen so far have a pin across the circle, the hinge being in correspondence of the second "M" is "sommergibili". The hook is opposite to it. I do not see any sign of pin or pin-holder in your example.

    Ok and so I must understand from your post than example for sale than I posted pics is a fake?

    I've never said so. I do not know whether there are other pin arrangements in other version of this badge. I am not an expert.

    The only example I could find with two pins in the same position as in your badge is the following (on sale as ORIGINAL, but I think that the manufacturer is not exactly WW2 period... :whistle:
