muckaroon1960 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I have this battledress which is 1940 pattern but I cannot find an issue date. However I have found these 2 tickets inside the inside pocket. Not sure what these are for? They measure each 50mm x 10mm and are dated 1942.

However I have now discovered these tickets do have printed on them Metropolitan Paris and Chemin de Fer which I believe these could be Paris Metro tickets which is strange to find 1942 dated tickets in a British Battledress? Very Odd me thinks?
Jerry B Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 It is broad arrow marked with an O so 1942 and as it is an austerity version 40 pattern, it would be 3rd or 4th quarter of 42, as this type was introduced at that date.
