belt of Lt Col BROWNING - Need help to identify

i found this belt in a "garage sell".



How could i get more information about this Lieutnant Colonel ?

probably British but other than that very hard to pin down. You'll need someone with access to war time Army Lists, in which there are likely going to be more than one Lt Col Browning, so unless you can find only one and show that he served in France, the chances are slim of an exact ID. Sorry!

The belt is the standard British issue canvas waist belt for general wear with battle dress. Have you tried Ancestry ?

As Peter says , not easy to identify from just a name.
