piekenier Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 This WW1 iron cross second class looks just fine .I guess the silver frame has been cleaned.
kasle Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 It´s cross made by Steinhauer & Luck either in ww2 era, or even as a 57 version replacement cross. Good cross. Frame is polished ww2 style, that´s why it shines.

Robin Lumsden Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Personally, I prefer it before the silver dip !!
saschaw Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) The cross is a WW1 original. Sorry to diagree, but, as yet pointed out, it's not a WW1 era cross, but a later replacement. Be it from the 1930s/40s or even 1950s/60s I cannot tell. I don't think this changes much anyway. They're worth being collected, sometimes even more popular than their contemporary counterparts.
