Jock Auld
Guys, Another one of these today, noted last time what Jerry stated about paint work and for me it seems to be the original factory finish? Liner is in good shape. Shame it has lost its chin strap! Liner dated 1945 and is by BMB. There are markings on the shell but they are very shallow strikes and I can't make them out or get a decent picture of them, I will try in daylight perhaps that will be better. I am fairly sure the liner belongs to this lid.
Tony
I reckon that's a bloody good find. I've had a few MKIII and MKIV versions and now wish I had kept them. Tony
Jerry B
Looks a good early one Jock, love the textured paint on it.
Jock Auld
Cheers Guys, I wonder if he had any more as it looks like it was part of a stack judging by the black ring on the top? happy new year
