IR 134 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Guys, got this photo from the grave of saxon Major and St. Henry winner Johannes Kückens, born 1871, who fell July 15th 1918 near Souain as regimental cdr. IR 105. Any idea where this grave has been? No mention in Volksbund database so I suppose he was buried on a cemetary behind the lines and later exhumed and laid to rest at home. The Prussian Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hello Stefan! The Ehrenrangliste says, he fell near Sommy-Py (8km north of Souain). Next to Souain you´ll find a mixed french/german cemetery. Maybe that info helps you?
IR 134 Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Guten morgen, lieber Andreas, that sounds plausible. Hope to get the IR 105-history soon. maybe there is more details. Gruß Stefan
