Bavarian Jäger Full Colonels?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how amyn Full colonels there could have been in the Bavarian Jägers?

I don;t find one commanding a Battalion, Possibly Bavarian Jäger Regt Nr. 1? Or Brigade, or Alpenkorps Staff?

Any brainstorming thoughts?

Yes, I have a thought....they're not Jäger!  If I am seeing the underlay color correctly, it is feldgrau, which was used by some officer's. It's non-official, but not rare to see. It definitely is not Jäger green.

You are probably right. It is a very different green to my Jäger boards.

What kind of unit do you think he would be? Not part of a Regiment, maybe on a Divisional Staff or something?

There is more than one possibility as to the unit. It could be staff, or it could be other Bavarian units that did not use a unit number, like cavalry regiments for instance. This feldgrau backing was a personal choice and although not common, not rare either.
