paul kennedy Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) I have a Croix Du Combattant that looks like it has been lacquered. It hasn't been gilded, and is bronze colored, just shiny. I was curious if they were ever issued shiny, or if a collector did this? Edited July 13, 2015 by paul kennedy
Paul R Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I think that it looks pretty good. If it was lacquered, it was done when it was new.
Tim B Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Looks fine, has the Paris Mint hallmark on it, so you know its official.Search this forum for French hallmarks and you can read up more on these. Tim
