FOR VALOUR Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Hello I have these items I would like to know more about please? The water bottle dated 1945 the unused med kit dated 1942; the bayonet marked USM8A1 VP CO M5 IMPERIAL. Regards David Edited August 16, 2015 by FOR VALOUR
peter monahan Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Not my area at all, but looks to me like a standard issue set of kit for a US GI. Here is a site which reproduces all these pieces and can provide you with the model and year of introduction for each: http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/newusarmygear.htmlHere's a shot of the canteen and cover, for example. jonsey2001 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Standard m-38 belt, canteen and a Carlisle bandage. If the tin is red it is earlier. Looks like m-7 bayonet very common items over all. This looks to be in better than average condition.
