ccj Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I recently started searching photographs in an attempt to see if I could find photos of the Croix de Guerre being worn with the palms overlapping on the ribbon. I think this was done on occasion by those either not wanting a long ribbon or those who had a very large amount of palms. Here are a few. I didn't think to save examples of all. Here's another of Charles Nungesser wearing a large number of Palms overlapping on the ribbon. Here's a CdG with 8 palms I've had for years. It's similarly arranged with the palms overlapping.

ccj Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Décorations du Cne Jean Derode - Commandant de l'escadrille SPA 99 du 15 mars au 4 juin 1918 - Photo Hubert Derode, son petit neveu, que je remercie pour son aide précieuse. well, here's an example like mine. It's more worn for sure. http://albindenis.free.fr/Site_escadrille/escadrille067.htm
