Chris Boonzaier Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Hi, Here are some Railway troop uniforms... I am assuming guy 1 and guy 3 habe Lebels that have had something added to the barrel to take a German Bayonet?
Chip Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) Chris, That's correct. The first guy is a Bavarian, as he has no Litzen and his simplified shoulder strap displays only an "E" with no regimental number. Chip Edited March 8, 2016 by Chip
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Whats the deal with the guy in the middle? He has a railway badge between the cockades... could that mean he is not in an Eisenbahn Battalion, but is a "real" train guy?
Chip Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 He's got a Litewka on with Unteroffizier Tresse, so I suspect he is a career railroader in some military capacity, serving as a yard worker or depot guard. I don't think his outfit is a normal railway employee uniform. Chip
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Have you ever seen a railway badge in the cap like that?
Chip Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 It's a small image, but it looks like a normal railway cap insignia.
