John R Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Completely original. Dealer value all over the place on these--I would say around 100 euros max due to length although it is in good condition. On ebay, you might get a lot less since you can't show the insignia so it would take a handlesmarine collector to spot it. You do not need to post more pictures, it is a good one.
Guest Rick Research Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 The Norddeutscher Lloyd steamer "Der Deutsche" of 11,455 BRT, was launched in 1924. It survived the war and was surrendered as war reparations to the Soviet Union 16 March 1946, renamed "Asia."
Gordon Williamson Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Nice. The "D" before the name "Der Deutche" stands for "Dampfer" or Steamer.
NOR_collector Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 Thanks for all the help guys!I really appreciate it.
