ost-da Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Hello, please help find information about this award. Sincerely.
922F Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 (edited) Not to be confused with the French official Order of the Sport [ive] Merit (Ordre du Mérite sportif) established 1956 abolished 1964, this insignia represents membership in a private society established 'to recognize accomplishments related to sport activity' perhaps dating from the 1930's active up to the 1960's at least. Several French collector sites illustrate this same pattern insignia as relating to the society. However, commander grade badges usually have a plain gilt suspension wreath. This example's suspension wreath's enamel quality appears superior to that of the badge -- possibly someone switched out those suspensions? Edited July 17, 2016 by 922F add info
ost-da Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 Many thanks. I understand that this is an informal reward. I want to know what kind of society and the awards bestowed upon time. The enamel on the wreath and the Order is no different in the photo is not visible. In this sate the wreath so the same: http://www.semon.fr/LES ASSOCIATIVES_5.htm Do not show links to French sites, where this award is presented? Sincerely
