A Prussian officer with China service and WW1 service and the only Prussian award is the EK2 but he ends up with a Bavarian MVK4! All the ribbons look like modern synthetics which will glow bright electric blue on every white part-- NOT old silk.That is a LATE war Bavarian MMO (gilt centers) by which time an 1896-at latest joining officer could indeed still have only been a Captian to receive this.
