LLCoolDL Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Hi All, Its a bit tatty but wondering if anyone can help identify this and if it has any value? Many thanks!
LLCoolDL Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 I've searched hi and low on the internet... image searches the lot... nothing...
coldstream Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Hello there, This is the WW2 era British Army Air Liaison Signals patch, should be white on dark blue? Shown as illustration number 195 in the book 'British Army Cloth Insignia 1940 to Present' by Brian L Davis. One listed here for sale currently (no connection to Seller on my part) http://dbgmilitaria.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1222 Regards Simon
LLCoolDL Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 Simon thanks so much! I found it on Hearts and Wings just moments before you posted this! Do you have any idea why a military tailor (in the 19080s) would have World War II badges?
coldstream Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) If its an old established firm as many of these Military Tailors are I see no reason why old stock shouldn't still be around, quite a small Unit would have worn these I would imagine so plenty of scope for having a few left on the shelves.
