Hermann Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 I am seeking information about Karl Leichenstern, b. 29 May 1847, major general in the Bavarian army, 1899-1901 commander of 10th Königlich Bayerische Infanterie-Brigade. I only know that his father was Ludwig Leichtenstein, d. 1866 at fortress Rosenberg, lieutenant colonel. The Prussian Maschine doesn’t list him, perhaps he retired before 1914. I found an entry of him from 1906 where he was categorized “zur Disposition”. Kind Regards Hermann

Hermann Posted May 24, 2019 Author Posted May 24, 2019 Thank you, Andy. I collect old photographs. I have a CAB of Leichtenstern and I want to post it on Wikipedia. So, I try to write a short biographical article about him. I hope Wikipedia will accept it. Leichtenstern must be a relevant person. I am not sure if he is. One of his brothers was a well known physician. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Michael_Ludwig_Leichtenstern Hermann
03fahnen Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Years ago download this photo from the internet. It is not mine and I do not know the source. I have it labeled as: LEICHTENSTERN - Generalmajor Karl Leichtenstern, Commander of the 10. Infanterie-Brigade
