BOPHUTHATSWANA Police medal for Faithfull Service (10 Years)

Hi, can anyone tell me which of these 2 medals was issued first and how long they where issued before they were replaced with the second version.

I have 2 types of this medal in my collection. (Both are full size).

        

This version has English and Afrikaans language on back. (FAITHFUL SERVICE - TROU DIENS)

This version has English and Native language on back. (FAITHFUL SERVICE - TIRELO YA BOIKANYEGO)

Also note the difference on front (use of red).
