Felt Pickelhaube Real Or Fake

Hey all, my son found this in a thrift store and I picked it up today (paid $60 for it), I'm a far cry from knowing much about these helmets, so....I'm hoping one of you experts can let me know if it's real or fake.  It's in almost mint condition (so I have a feeling it's fake), but here are some pics of it:

Hello, Too well made to be a fake apart of the lack of the interior lining, its perceptible that in other time the helmet beared cockades.
