HELP REAL OR FAKE? WW2 USAAF Wings

Hello gentlemen,

These pilot wings came with a nominal B-17 pilot uniform from World War II dated 1944. I don't know how to ascertain the originality or dating of the wings. I ask for your help. Thank you.

Hi, looks good to me, marked Sterling silver and what looks like a makers make on the back of the shield. Can't read what it says ? what size is it?

Hello,

the size is 3 inches. On the shield, what is written is erased. It is difficult to read. But it seems to be the end of the word .... Mayer and below .... (new y) ork. You can only read "ork".

Yep sounds good to me! N S  Meyer, NY maker of insignia. Any chance of a close up of the makers mark as this may determine age.
