Dedication to the Front of the monument in Hungarian:

Can anybody offer a translation please??

The back of the monument, the rear tablet is blank;

EDIT: I have since learned, from an old Gentlemen that there used to be a representation of the Hungarian Eagle,

with outstretched wings on the top of the monument, he claims it was there for over 40 years before it was "removed"!

He is searching for some old documentation he had in connection with the monument and I will add the information as I get it.

Don't get me wrong guys but the blocks to the extreme right of the picture

are the pits, the black windows are the ones that have been burnt buy what I

will call "undesirables" or to remain "Politically Correct" an ethnic "minority".

Not an area of the town I would feel comfortable in, particularly at night!! and not because I fear Vampires.

Traveller who may pass by, we ask you to send to our parents, wives and children and to all the brothers in Argeş and Muscel counties our soldier's salute saying to them that we had fallen on these beautiful fields for the defence of the land of our ancestors, listening to the voice of the heroes from the graves, to the order of the voivodes from the altars and to the voice of the saints on the altar wall. We have fallen in the line of duty for motherland and nation.

The cemetery is rather large.

A field of crosses

And an inscription identifying the losses as belonging to the 3rd Division present in the area in 1944.

The sad thing is that no inscription survived on any of the crosses, not even "unknown soldier/hero".

Some crosses had fallen.

Others are completely broken.

Hallo Gents

during the summer I located this neglected grave to 6 German soldiers from WW1.

On Wednesday 31st I cleaned away some of the overgrowth:

I placed a small wreath, flowers and some candles on the grave in the memory of the soldiers.

Hallo Gentlemen,

Yesterday the 06 December, I was traveling with a friend who was on a business trip to Targu Jiu in the GORJ county,

to the south of Hunedoara county where I live, on the way there and before entering the mountain pass to get to Targu Jiu, we had to pass through the mining town of Petrosani, on the outskirts my friend had to make a slight detour to Aninosa (no not the place where all the Romanian Amnesiacs live )

Having passed that way once before, my eyes had been drawn to a large stone monument in a small graveyard on a windswept hill side, so I bailed out of the car and with camera headed off to investigate while my buddy Ovi went about his business.

and to the left front of the monument 6 crosses in two rows of three.
