halowar Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 Hello Gentlemen, I have found this badge in a lot with a WW1 Victory medal, is this military or just a brooch ? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Sorin And the back of the badge.
Trooper_D Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 This is not what you asked but, in case you didn't know, the hallmarks are for the Birmingham Assay Office and dated 1884. See this link, https://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Dates/Birmingham/Cycle 1875-1899.html I can't identify the maker's name.
peter monahan Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) The five-pointed star and crescent moon suggest, perhaps, India/Pakistan but it's not a military badge form that area and time [ie: not WWI] so I'd guess just a brooch. Loevly work, though, and perhaps worth a bit given the age. Edited May 12, 2021 by peter monahan
