Guest Rick Research
The abbreviations changed over time, and according to which version of a Rank List they were used in. We normally use the Prussian Army versions because those were the most common.PK4 = Prussian Crown Order 4th ClassPH3 = ???? PE1 = ????BM4x = Bavarian Military Merit Order 4 with Swords (normally "BMV4X")SA3ax = Saxon Albert Order-Knight 1st Class with SwordsWM3 = W?rttemberg Military Merit Order-KnightWK3x = W?rttemberg Crown Order-Knight (X = Swords)WF3b = W?rttemberg Friedrich Order-Knight 2nd (Knight 1st was "a" instead of "b")BZ3ax = Baden Z?hringen Lion Order-Knight 1st XBrK2 = Brunswick Ernst August Cross 2nd ClassOK1 = Oldenburg Friedrich August Cross 1st ClassLK = Lippe-Detmold War Merit CrossOM3K = "?M3K" = Austro-Hungarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with War Decoration (wreath)
