I am researching information for a book on Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. If you have knowledge of the uniform worn by Indian troops in the Middle east in WW2 please contact me here or at lordz@xtra.co.nz

15th AA Battery, Hong Kong Singapore RA, formed 8 September 1939

    • 23rd AA Battery, Hong Kong Singapore RA (HKSRA), arrived 23 Feb from Singpore.

    • 2nd Indian (Heavy) Anti-Aircraft Regiment

    • Land defence was provided by a company of 3/11th Sikh Regiment equipped with up to ten Bren Gun Carriers, and Ordnance BL 2.75-inch mountain guns. The entire company had arrived by June 1942, staying in the ‘Punjab’ camp near Awali.[1] [2] [3]

    • Air defence detachments came from the 292nd Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery Royal Artillery, and 247th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery Royal Artillery.[4] [5]
