Klaus P. Schad Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I found this Pickelhaube 1991 at the Great Western Gun Show in LA. I don't think this helmet belonged to my uncle because he went into service early 1918 and by then the steel helmet was worn already.
Bayern Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 The pickelhaube remained in service until the end of the War . if not in the Frontline as combat headress ,it remained for walking out and other orders of dress for those who have it
Klaus P. Schad Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm well aware of it, however, I found a couple more members of Gr.Rgt.110 with the same name "Stahl" in the honor list. His personal belongings were handed down to me from my family and a helmet was not included. Klaus
