dedehansen Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Hi Gentlemen´s, I received this medal, which I am not familiar with, from the estate of a member of the Malteser Hilfsdienst Germany. This medal was considered primarily a civilian award. In special cases, it was conferred upon military personnel. It was conferred posthumously in recognition of courage, devotion to the people, or outstanding accomplishments in social, economic and cultural fields. Yours is a second class. May be documents survived the collapse of the South Vietnamese government, you should contact the Vietnamese embassy.
