Gordon Craig Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Ladies and Gentlemen, The Israelis do not issued many medals and therefore only a ribbon was issued for the Yom Kipur war Oct 6 1973. I have pictured here what I believe is one of these ribbon on the card it was issued with. I would request a translation of the Hebrew printed on the brown card. A white card came with the brown card and I do not know the actual connection between the two but I would appreciate a translation of the printed and hand written text on the white card. How are the two cards connected? Regards, Gordon 1
Farkas Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Hi Gordon, do you mind if I share your pics on twitter? I can most likely get a translation from someone on there. tony 🍻
Gordon Craig Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Tony, By all means do share my picture. Any answer to my questions would be very welcome. Some of these medals were issued to individuals and other to firms and it would be good to know what I have here. Thanks for your offer to help. I am not on twitter. Regards, Gordon 1
Gordon Craig Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 I have found a way to translate this document using Google Translate. Or at least a friend has so here it is below. Also, the two card are connected. The white card appears to be an invitation to the event where the certificate and ribbon are presented. I'll confirm that when it is transsslated. Regards, Gordon 1
Farkas Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 That’s a great idea, that will be interesting. Btw, I did try on twitter but no one got back to me. tony 🍻
