marekz Posted April 4 Share Posted April 4 I've recently acquired this Kriegsmarine bronze clasp/frontspange, but am unsure as to its authenticity. The wire clip appears to be 'nonstandard' judging from other images in this forum, but, given this is the only example I have access to, I can't tell if the clasp itself is genuine. Please let me have your comments: one request though, please don't just declare that it's real or fake...tell me why you think that's the case....I'd like to learn from your experience... 2dresq Posted April 6 Share Posted April 6 So, this has some interesting traits. I agree with you, the reverse is a different pin and retaining clasp. However, I do think that this does have a chance of being a period fix. The Front details seem to be crisp and clear. I like what I am seeing. I wouldn't be ashamed to have this in my collection.
