Flávio P.Z.Peixoto Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 hello, As said before, it doesn't actually appear to be a medal, there is a model similar to yours for sale on ebay, described as a "medal awarded by Pius IX to the Jesuits", due to the shape of the eyelet that looks like it was worn with a chain. It is difficult to be sure what it is, but it is very likely that it was a gift on the occasion of the Jubilee of 1875 (which occurred in a limited way on the occasion of Italian unification), this type of gifts are very common during jubilees Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
