Help needed on sword knot

I found one similar referred to as a tank regiment sword knot but nothing to corroborate that…🤷‍♂️

Knowing what kind of sword it is, would help the investigation, flintl0ck - assuming that sword and knot belong to each other, of course. (What I can see of hilt doesn't look British, to me.)
