peron
Hello A recent aquisition to my colletion ... This french safe conduct passed by a french officer to a Mr Gonzalves employee at the armée, during the french ocupation at the village of Barcelos in the Minho region in Portugal. I believe this is a very rare document to arrive t'ill our days... I wish it could be possible to know the name of the officer by the signature or even the coat of arms on the seal!!!!but no luck on decoding!!! 😞 Any help on a possible identification? Is there anyone here expert on french empire heraldy? Thanks
augustin1813
Hello, The coat of arms seems fanciful. There are not at all in the style of the imperial coat of arms...
