Jackie Chan Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Hello, friends. I bought an unusual sample of the order of St. Alexander. As you can see, it carries a double sword under the crown, but the common version does not have a ribbon under the crown, but this one does. It may be on the original basis that this sword is added for decoration. I wonder if you have seen similar examples? thank you 2

I wonder if you have seen similar examples? thank you That is a very nice 5th Class of the Order with Crown with pendalia and swords above the cross That Model appeared late in the King Boris III period 1918 -1943, and during the Regency period 1943-1946 ( after the death of the King Boris III) From this model are known only crosses from 5th to 3rd Classes This model is rarer then the one with crown without pendalia Some authors state that this model did exist only in the Regency period During the Republican Period the Crown was replaced with a Wreath Note; The box on the first picture is from the Republican period, however the Commander Cross is from the periods discussed above Edited November 17 by Graf 1

I found other pictures through your description. Thank you very much. On 2024/11/15 at PM5点09分, Graf said: 共和模式 Thank you. It's very beautiful.
steveBobby Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Greeting ! This pattern of order I believe appeared during World War II between 1943 and 1945 as a temporary version due to a shortage of certain parts.I'll include photos of two actual wearers below to back up this claim. Yours Steve 1

During this transitional period many Decorations were awarded using left overs and some to had a hybrid patterns Edited November 22 by Graf

Graf Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I just discovered that this model existed not only for 5th to 3rd Class, however also for 2nd Class That is a very interesting fact According to the existing literature this model or more correctly variation was known only from 5th to 3rd Class but no author mentioned 2nd Class This shows that the existing literature is not complete and new fact will be discovered, and hopefully included in the next books According to Denkov this variation did exist only in the regency period and was designed to be different from the King Boris III Emission However he is the only one who suggested this Cheers Graf 1
