aubagne98 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Hi, can anybody identify those uniforms? Thanks Michael
The Prussian Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Hi Michael! I´ve seen these photos in a german forum too. We discussed, but we couldn´t get a solution... The last photo seems to be a fun-photo. Interesting the first one. The collar tabs could be UK made, the first ribbon could be an australian one. But that are all shots in the dark...
ChrisKelly Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) I would like to take an "educated guess". From the finer points and smaller details... Image 2: This is a strange visor cap... Looks like a kriegsmarine junior officers' cap with a Deutsche Heer other ranks' cockade on the band, and a secondary cockade above. The shoulder board left shows a four point star. Obviously someone in the German forces. When, I don't know. East or West, I have no idea. Likely a photograph from sometime 1945-1955, given the chinstrap on the visor cap. That looks postwar. Image 3: Some kind of naval uniform. The cap is reminiscent of postwar East European headgear. Strange looking ribbon bar. Never seen one that big. First ribbon almost looks like the Order of the Red Star. Images 1 & 4: Likely the same man. Almost looks like dark British battledress. I think its some kind of Spanish uniform. "Guardia Civil"? My instinct is that the first four photographs were made sometime 1945-1960. I'm sure I didn't help, but it was fun guessing. Edited December 31, 2024 by ChrisKelly
The Prussian Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 It seems that all photos are showing the same man
